James Glancy MA CGC
James Glancy is a passionate wildlife conservationist and filmmaker. James is a host on Discovery Channel's Shark Week. His debut feature documentary as a Director "Afghanistan," premiered at Docs Ireland in Belfast and won Best Documentary at Chichester Film Festival 2023.
James was an Officer in the elite British Royal Marines. He deployed on multiple tours around the world, including three combat tours of Afghanistan. In 2012, he was awarded the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross (CGC).
A keen military historian, James read Modern History at the University of Oxford, where he also Captained the Blues Varsity Boxing team. As an entrepreneur, James co-founded international risk consultancy, AnotherDay. He is now CEO of Outpost Studios, co-founded with Alex Webster.
